100 Blogs in 100 Days

Yesterday I completed 100 days of blogging. In 100 days, I have blogged 100 times. For some blogs, I received rave reviews, for some lukewarm.  I have tried to be as versatile as possible keeping in mind my reader’s profile, background and interests. My readers range from family members to friends and relatives to my ex and current bosses to my ex and current colleagues (both juniors and seniors) to schoolmates to acquaintances to that mysterious reader in Portugal whose identity till now I do not know.

There are some readers who are voracious readers and some who haven’t read a single book in their lives. The senior most reader is in his 70’s and the junior most is a teenager. There are students, teachers, professionals, housewives, and one CEO and three authors among the readers. With such a diverse readers’ list, every day presents a new challenge to me. What should I write today? What will my readers like or what will surprise them? That’s why I do not focus on any one subject. I write on varied topics such as literature to personalities to cinema to gossip to relationships to imaginary situations to whatever my mind can think of.

Readers have been kind because they somehow find time to read my blogs. Some have read all 100 blogs; some have read not even half of them. Some read daily, some weekly. Some comment on every blog, some do not at all. Some readers are with me since I started the Postcard from Dubai series in 2012-13. With them I checked whether they found the postcards better or the blogs. Majority of them said blogs.

So, something is going well. And I’ll endeavour to make the blogs more interesting. I did a survey of all my blogs to see which were liked the most. Below are the Top 10 blogs in descending order of page views:

1.      Om – 255

2.      Create New Thinking Boxes – 232
