Smile

A smile that melted the stony hearts of the enemies. A smile that is no less in valour than the smiler's uncle’s gallantry. A smile that is as stirring as the smiler's brother’s speech in the court of the damned ruler. A smile that is as legendary as the strike of the smiler's illustrious grandfather. A smile that brought the enemies down to its knees. A smile that made the heavenly beings weep. A smile that shook the very foundation of humanity. A smile that won the war for the smiler's father.

A smile that is historic. A smile that is momentous. A smile that is unforgettable. A smile that makes people cry even after 1400 years. A smile that is matchless. A smile that still stuns the mind. A smile that is a philosophy in itself. A smile that alters the way of thinking. A smile that fought terrorism of a kind the world has never seen. A smile that is a message. A smile that guides during the times of darkness. A smile that is as illuminating as the Holy Book. A smile that gives you courage.

From the lap of his holy father, the infant warrior, took on the might of his father’s enemies. His only weapon was his divinely inspired smile. As the ace archer from the enemy camp took aim, his comrades began shedding tears. The archer’s hands wavered. Never before had he vacillated. He was renowned throughout the Arab world for his perfect aim and unflinching professionalism. Every time he zeroed in on the target, his fingers trembled. When it happened three times, his general barked at him. ‘Can’t you do it? You are the best marksman.’

From the other side, the infant warrior’s father said, ‘If my intention was anything other than peace, then I wouldn’t have brought my six-month-old baby here.’ But no heed was paid to his words. The tyrannical general once again gave his orders to shoot the arrow. The equally tyrannical archer took aim for the final time and mercilessly let go off the arrow. On the baby soldier’s face appeared a smile that stirred up a storm. As the arrow pierced his fragile throat, the atmosphere transformed.

A smile that mocked the arrow and the archer. A smile that penetrated the very soul of mankind. A smile that inspires even today. A smile that will forever remain an inspiration. A smile that symbolises Truth.
