Hug



Hug provides more warmth than blankets on cold wintry nights.

Hug diminishes a sad person’s sorrow. Hug is an antidote for depression.

Hug consoles the bereaved. Hug makes a child comfortable.

Hug is a lover’s delight. Hug establishes a bond. Hug brings people closer.

Hug lifts up spirits. Hug eliminates fatigue. Hug gives confidence.

One hug can finish a lifetime’s enmity. Hug strengthens friendship.

A mother’s hug is God’s blessing. A father’s hug is a protective shield.

A sister’s hug makes memories. A brother’s hug is life’s gift.

A wife’s hug is a piece of heaven. A husband’s hug drives away worries.   

A son’s hug is relaxing.  A daughter’s hug adds life to life.

Hug is a treasure, a medicine, a tonic, an ointment, a remedy.

Hug is magic. It shrinks distances. It clears differences.

A hug a day can keep the doctor away. Two hugs a day can prolong life.

Give someone a hug every day. Hug is health. Hug is wealth.

Hug rubs away malice. Hug converts hatred into love.

Hug inspires. Hug is a glorious act. Hug is like the sun on a grey day.

Hug is like an umbrella on a rainy day. Hug is like an oasis in a desert.

Hug is like a flower in barrenness. Hug is like the moon on the dark sky.

Hug makes bad, good, worse, better, and worst, best.

Stop reading. Start hugging.

The Lady in Red

Yesterday after my morning prayer, I went for my 30- minute walk. My wife did not accompany me because she preferred the warmth of the bed to the cold outside. Usually, she does. I did not take the path that I normally take every day. The road was deserted and not a soul was in sight. I walked briskly, determined to do a certain number of steps within the time that I had. Zaidis and Wastis

                                                         Many people believe that Zaidis and Wastis are two separate surnames. The truth is that it isn’t. Zaidis and Wastis hail from a place in Iraq called Wasit. Wasti is actually Wasiti but over time, it became Wasti. They are descended from the fourth Imam Ali bin Hussain, also known as Zain-ul-Abedin. His eldest son’s name was Zaid. Hence the name Zaidi.
