Break the Pattern of Your Life

Eventually we all have to die. So why die while living? We wait to live from a certain stage of our life but that stage never comes. We go on telling our self, we will start living after the kids have grown up or after they are married or after retirement but we fail to notice that the best part of our life is going away. And then one day we are left with only broken dreams. There is a difference between existing and living. Most of us only exist and do not live.

Life is a celebration. Moments are fireworks. Memories are festivals. Be a companion to loneliness. Be the light to drive away darkness. Hum a tune when sorrow surrounds you. When there is joy, share it. Break the pattern of your life. Don’t become a robot doing the same thing every day. We are not machines. We laugh at people but not with them. We want people to come to us but we will not go to them.

We have forgotten our basic courtesy. We have stopped using thank-you, sorry, please & excuse me. There is a senior colleague in my office who never forgets to say ‘thank you’ when you send him some information through e-mail. It warms the heart even though it maybe just a routine thing. Sometimes we don’t realize how our actions will affect the other person.

When it is raining give your umbrella to someone else.
