I Don't Have Time


‘I don’t have time.’
The person who says this is poor. If he doesn’t have time then what has he?
The twenty-four hours in a day is available to all of us. God is just. If He was biased, He would have allotted different hours to each individual.
All those who have achieved knowledge, wealth, fame, etc did it by utilizing the twenty- four hours in a day effectively.
Family suffers because there’s no time. Personal relationships suffer because there’s no time. Dreams are crushed because there’s no time. Ambitions are quashed because there’s no time. This is not the fact. I believe we should stop blaming time for all our inefficiencies.
Time should be our slave but we allow it to dominate us. We let it dictate terms to us. Therefore, when we wish to do something, we can’t, because we are now at Time’s mercy.
 We have to tell Time, ‘Look I got to be with my family now, ’or ‘Look I have to read or write now', or ‘Look I got to go for a walk now,’ or ‘Look I have to reflect now. So better don’t act smart with me. You go on with your tick tock and let me go on with my life.’
If we do this every day, then in no time, Time will be wagging its tail like a pet dog.

The Lady in Red

Yesterday after my morning prayer, I went for my 30- minute walk. My wife did not accompany me because she preferred the warmth of the bed to the cold outside. Usually, she does. I did not take the path that I normally take every day. The road was deserted and not a soul was in sight. I walked briskly, determined to do a certain number of steps within the time that I had.                                                          Many people believe that Zaidis and Wastis are two separate surnames. The truth is that it isn’t. Zaidis and Wastis hail from a place in Iraq called Wasit. Wasti is actually Wasiti but over time, it became Wasti.
