Religion and Contradictions

Chapter 2, verse 256 of the Holy Koran categorically states ‘La ikraha fid deen’ (there is no compulsion / coercion in religion). And yet when you look around, you see that sectarian violence is ripping through the entire fabric of Islam. What difference does it make how you pray? Or whom you follow? We have become blind to reality. Political and religious leaders for their own petty gains are making a mockery of the religion and using ordinary, simple followers to unleash terror. Where has the Prophet or Holy Koran said to take innocent lives?

Chapter 32 of Yajurveda says ‘andham tamah pravisanti, ye vidyam upasate, tato bhuya iva te tamo, ya u vidyayam ratah’ (they enter darkness who worship natural things. They sink deeper into darkness who worship sambhuti, i.e. created things, like table, chair, idols etc). And yet image / idol worshipping is the foundation of Hinduism.

The Bible (Deuteronomy, chapter 14, verse 8) says, ‘the pig is also unclean, although it has a divided hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat its meat and/or touch its carcass.’ But every Christian enjoys eating pork.

Jai Ho sabki! Allah, Bhagwan, Jesus bhala kare sabka….

  1. Religions were supposed to set us free to unleash our real potential and take us closer to Nirvana. However. They have shackled us with rituals and dogmas. One day Humans will wake up and give up all of them and become free and happy.

  2. Qualifier: Some day Humans will reject all of them and adopt the basic tenets of Humanity - love, respect, coexistence, tolerance and then become free and happy!!
